Last one out, turn off the lights. That might seem to be the message the New Orleans Saints are sending, but the roster isn’t as bare as you might think. The Saints have 57 players under contract for 2021 with plenty of room for more, plus their eight picks in the upcoming NFL draft.
Now, that’s not said to downplay their losses. Between Drew Brees retiring, multiple veterans being released as salary cap casualties, and the free agents who have signed with other teams, there are plenty of holes on the depth chart. But here’s a quick recap of who remains:
