Hokie Gajan had a "gift of gab" through the 16 seasons he worked as a color analyst on New Orleans Saints radio broadcasts before he died from cancer complications late Monday night.
"The last thing you want in a broadcast is two guys who sound the same," play-by-play announcer Jim Henderson said of Gajan in a profile in the Times-Picayune in 2004. "Hopefully, we're a yin and yang."
Or, as Gajan put it: "He's the lead singer. I'm just the doo-wop guy."
What will you remember about Gajan as a radio commentator?
