Saints left tackle Terron Armstead has been out of the lineup with the team since a pectoral muscle injury suffered in Week 10 on the road in Cincinnati. It looked like he had been held out of last week’s road win in Tampa for rest and a chance to get 100-percent and to be ready for Week 15. But he’s been ruled out of tonight’s away game in Charlotte for Monday Night Football.
Armstead has been practicing on and off in a limited capacity with the team over the past two weeks. But, with Sean Payton always being tight-lipped about injuries, we don’t know if the star left tackle is being held out due to a setback or if they just feel this is a game where they can afford to rest him.
