New Orleans Saints fans are, sometimes, a rowdy bunch. They can also be frustrated, enthused, or just passionate. Emotions have run high in the weeks and days since the botched NFC championship game, when an officiating error cost the Saints a shot at Super Bowl LIII. The responses from fans have ranged from petitions to lawsuits to boycotts, and those flames were only fanned by a too-late explanation from feckless league commissioner Roger Goodell.
But nobody copes with the highs and lows of supporting a pro football team like Saints fans. They gathered in the tens of thousands in New Orleans to protest the Super Bowl, crowding America’s best sports bars and restaurants to rewatch Super Bowl XLIV or just curse the league they feel robbed them.
