One of the first rules NFL scouts learn is that you shouldn’t base an entire evaluation off of one play, good or bad. But it’s tough to not be impressed by the destruction LSU Tigers guard and New Orleans Saints rookie free agent Adrian Magee accomplished last year against Vanderbilt.
Magee quickly dispatched his first opponent on a passing play early in the second quarter, and assumed that future Heisman Trophy winner and first-overall draft pick Joe Burrow had already thrown the ball to his target. But to Magee’s surprise, Burrow was still alert in the pocket, eyes downfield.
