During April’s NFL draft, the New Orleans Saints probably walked away with the best two-for when it came to improving their secondary play in one weekend. After Ohio State’s Marshon Lattimore fell to them with the No. 11 pick, no one would be blamed for calling the entire draft a success at that point. However, when they also nabbed Utah safety Marcus Williams on Day 2, the haul went from great to amazing.
Williams was considered by many to be he quintessential center-field prospect in the 2017 draft. On Thursday, during Saints practice, he flashed some of that ability when he picked off quarterback Drew Brees.
