New Orleans Saints tight end Josh Hill maintained control of the football with his hands and had both feet in bounds as his body fell out of bounds on a touchdown pass in the fourth quarter Sunday.
For that, the on-field call of an incomplete pass was overturned upon review after the Saints challenged the call in their 41-38 victory against the Carolina Panthers.
Head of NFL officials Dean Blandino said in a video posted to Twitter that the ball was knocked out of Hill's grasp only after the catch process was over.
"The receiver did complete the process of the catch, had both feet down in bounds, maintained control when he landed, survived the ground, and then the ball was knocked out by the defender after the catch process was over," Blandino said.
