The New Orleans Saints made a series of transactions on Wednesday, ahead of their Week 14 game with the San Francisco 49ers. They reunited with former starting middle linebacker Manti Te’o and shuffled the practice squad, parting ways with backup fullback Ricky Ortiz along the way. Third-year tight end Dan Arnold was also waived, though he’s an option to return should he go unclaimed off of waivers. Wide receiver Keith Kirkwood was someone the team hoped could return from a lingering hamstring issue, but he’ll remain on the Saints’ injured reserve list after his window to be activated closed.
