Ty Montgomery had his second career 100-yard game as a rusher vs. Panthers

The New Orleans Saints were dramatically shorthanded at running back in Week 17’s game with the Carolina Panthers. They went into the matchup with just two true running backs on the roster between part-time wide receiver Ty Montgomery and Tony Jones Jr., a rookie called up from the practice squad. And Jones exited just minutes into the game with an undisclosed injury.

So all the more credit to Montgomery, who ran 18 times for 105 rushing yards on the day. He also caught his lone target as a receiver to pick up 2 yards through the air.
