Their time in New Orleans may have brief, but they still made their marks on this Saints franchise. Former players Jonathan Vilma and Carl Nicks were recently announced as the most recent inductees into the Saints Hall of Fame, along with longtime New Orleans personnel member Jay Romig.
Both Nicks and Vilma played key roles during the Saints’ 2009 Super Bowl run. After coming over in a trade with the New York Jets in 2008, Vilma would ink five-year, $34 million contract with the team the next offseason. He rewarded the Saints with a Pro Bowl year, in which he recorded 110 total tackles, two sacks, and three interceptions in 15 games.
