Getting healthy in time for the playoffs is the name of the game for the New Orleans Saints. They’ve already clinched a spot in the postseason tournament, though one more win is needed to secure a fourth consecutive NFC South title. To that end, the Saints aren’t risking anything by resting multiple starters managing injuries.
While guard Nick Easton (concussion) and free safety Marcus Williams (ankle) were each preemptively ruled out for their Week 16 game with the Minnesota Vikings, the Saints have also listed guard Andrus Peat (ankle), nose tackle Malcom Brown (calf), and defensive end Trey Hendrickson (neck) among their inactive players despite having practiced on a limited basis during the week.
