The NFL on Wednesday, Oct. 2, released TV ratings numbers that were enough to make any NFL team owner or TV executive ecstatic. The biggest news for the rest of the NFL is that TV viewership of the league’s games is up. In September, 135 million viewers tuned in, a five percent increase. The big news for New Orleans, two of the three highest-rated games featured the boys in Black and Gold.
The Cowboys and Giants in Week 1 was the highest-rated game so far this year with 24.3 million viewers. The next two, the Saints and Cowboys and the Saints and Rams were two and three with 24.
