The New Orleans Saints have plenty of work to do in the 2020 offseason, with free agency near the top of their list of concerns. The NFL’s ever-rising salary cap will help them in that area, but it’ll take more creative accounting and contract structuring for the Saints to remain as busy on the free agent market as they’ve grown accustomed to be.
Part of that problem is due to previously-signed contracts and the high salary cap hits that come with them. New Orleans can manipulate some cap charges with restructures and pay cuts, but it still presents a challenge.
