METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints are a fitting opponent for the last regular-season game in the Georgia Dome on Sunday.
Other than the Atlanta Falcons themselves, no team has won more games in the 25-year history of the building than the Saints (13-11).
The Saints are 7-3 in the Georgia Dome since Drew Brees and Sean Payton arrived in 2006. And when asked for his memories of the place, Brees immediately thought back to his first game there with the Saints -- a 31-13 victory.
“I can remember in 2006, Terrance Copper catching a Hail Mary,” Brees said.
