With question marks already along the New Orleans Saints' offensive line, left tackle Terron Armstead exiting last week's preseason game was disheartening, but Armstead provided a reason for optimism on Monday.
Armstead said he will "for sure" be ready to play when the regular season begins on Sept. 11 against the Oakland Raiders at the Superdome.
Armstead missed the first couple weeks of training camp with an undisclosed injury, and he declined to explain what issue he was dealing with then or now. In last Friday's exhibition loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, he played the first seven offensive snaps before walking to the locker room with a trainer.
