The Los Angeles Rams advanced to represent the NFC in Super Bowl LIII against the New England Patriots, representing the AFC. That left teams with fervent fanbases like the Kansas City Chiefs and New Orleans Saints standing in the cold; and if ticket sales prices are any indication, many NFL fans were left feeling unsatisfied.
Per a report from Ticket IQ, secondary market prices for tickets to the Patriots-Rams Super Bowl dropped 17-percent in the days following each conference championship, with the largest ticket availability seen since 2016. Ticket IQ described the Patriots-Rams matchup as a ‘worst-case‘ scenario for ticket sales, due to the distance fans from Los Angeles would have to travel.
