Studs and Duds, Week 7: Drew Brees puts the team on his back

Well that was a close one. The New Orleans Saints defeated the Carolina Panthers by a couple of inches, fueled by several big performances on offense and undercut by too many bad plays on defense. Here’s who stood out most in Week 7’s Studs and Duds:

No Michael Thomas. No Emmanuel Sanders. No problems for Drew Brees, who quarterbacked the Saints to a 27-24 victory over the Panthers. He turned in his best game this season by completing 29 of 36 throws for 287 yards and a pair of touchdown passes, connecting with 8 different receivers (lobs to Taysom Hill and Adam Trautman were each broken up by Panthers defenders).
