Former New Orleans Saints player Steve Gleason has been nominated for the George Halas Award for his battle with ALS and the founding of Team Gleason, which is committed to helping people with ALS.
The award is presented annually by the Pro Football Writers of America to the player, coach or staff member who overcomes the most adversity to succeed.
