Cornerback Sterling Moore knew the situation when he signed a one-year deal with the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 6.
With the late summer releases of veteran cornerbacks Keenan Lewis and Cortland Finnegan in addition to Damian Swann landing on injured reserve, the Saints were set to enter the regular season with second-year pro Delvin Breaux as the lone cornerback with regular-season experience.
The rest of New Orleans' cornerback corps consisted of second-year pro P.J. Williams, who spent the 2015 season on injured reserve, and undrafted rookies Ken Crawley and De'Vante Harris.
