Over the next several days, Who Dat Dish will examine the Saints by position group, post-draft and post-free agency. The 2018 incarnation of the team isn’t dramatically different than the 2017 Saints. And that’s a good thing.
Drew Brees, one of the most prolific passers in NFL history, is still the team’s starter and will be for another year in all likelihood. The much prognosticated drop-off in ability as Brees nears 40 has yet to occur. Over the offseason, Brees signed a two-year, $50 million deal with a voidable third year thrown in.
Since coming to New Orleans in 2006, Brees has yet to throw for less than 4,000 yards.
