Here’s something you don’t see every day: PointsBet Sportsbook, one of the first books to open in New Jersey, announced Jan. 21 that they would be refunding all SpreadLine and MoneyLine bets made on the New Orlenas Saints through their services. PointsBet explained on their official Twitter account that they would be crediting back the lost money as Bonus Bets in their system – encouraging patrons to view it as a Good Karma Payout.
The blown call in question was a missed defensive pass interference and hit on a defenseless Saints receiver by Rams defensive back Nickell Robey-Coleman, stopping a late Saints drive in scoring position and setting up an overtime period in which the Saints lost.
