METAIRIE, La. -- New Orleans Saints tight end Josh Hill suffered a broken fibula Sunday, according to a source.
No timetable was offered, but there is a good chance it will end Hill’s season since two other key Saints who broke their fibulas this season (CB Delvin Breaux and DT Sheldon Rankins) required at least six weeks of recovery.
Hill quietly has become a key member of the Saints’ offense as a versatile blocker and occasional pass catcher. He was playing about 66 percent of New Orleans’ snaps over the seven games before he suffered the injury.
