The Saints have added another member to their scouting staff.
After letting go of two scouts last month, New Orleans hired former New York Jets director of player personnel Brendan Prophett to serve as a college scout, according to a source.
Prophett has not yet been assigned an area that he will scout. The team has openings in two regions after letting go of Brian Adams and Ryan Hollern.
A longtime member of the Jets staff, Prophett was let go last month by New York General Manager Mick Maccagnan. During an interview with WFAN radio, Maccagnan said Prophett was a victim of transition.
