The Philadelphia Eagles drafted Sidney Jones, with hopes that he could one day become a lockdown corner on the outside. The Eagles second-year player may finally get that opportunity on Sunday against the Saints.
On Thursday after the Eagles practice, Jones said he will return from a month-long hamstring injury.
With the Eagles missing both Ronald Darby and Jalen Mills due to injuries, the Birds are likely to use Jones on the outside against the Saints Michael Thomas, after keeping him in the slot the first six weeks of the season.
For Jones, Sunday presents an opportunity he’s waited his whole life for.
