Several New Orleans Saints players on Thursday night had their final opportunity of the summer to make a case for a spot on the 53-man roster.
In a 14-13 exhibition loss to the Baltimore Ravens, which dropped the Saints to 2-2 this preseason, the score was secondary to the evaluation of individual players as teams must make final roster cuts by 3 p.m. Saturday. Even if some Saints players don't make the team, Thursday's exhibition provided another chance for them to impress other teams.
Linebacker Adam Bighill, running back Travaris Cadet, cornerback Arthur Maulet, defensive end Al-Quadin Muhammad and defensive tackles John Hughes and Mitchell Loewen are among the players who had performances Thursday that could play a role in them earning a roster spot.
