METAIRIE, La. -- It seems a bit silly to suggest that the 2-4 New Orleans Saints need to guard against overconfidence following their big win over the Atlanta Falcons.
But the Saints do need to prove they can string a couple of these things together.
The Saints haven’t won back-to-back games since last October -- Weeks 8 and 9, which was the only time they won two in a row last year.
“Sometimes in a big win, you gotta pay close attention to the mistakes made. That could go by the wayside otherwise,” Saints coach Sean Payton said Friday, on the heels of a 31-21 win over the Falcons.
