New Orleans Saints coach Sean Payton put improving the team's pass rush among the main goals for the coming weeks and months.
Speaking in a TV interview in which he talked about coming close to terms on a contract extension, Payton said an improved pass rush "would be first and foremost."
"I think we saw that in the game," he said Thursday on NBC Sports Network, in reference to the Denver Broncos' six sacks of Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton in a Super Bowl 50 victory.
That's not the only area of focus for Payton and his staff this week at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis.
