Marcus Peters and the Los Angeles Rams defense was shredded by Drew Brees, Michael Thomas, and the New Orleans Saints offense in their last meeting but Saints head coach Sean Payton is keeping his expectations of a repeat performance muted. That’s largely due to the Rams returning starting cornerback Aqib Talib, who missed their first game against the Saints.
“Well I think it’s significant,” Payton answered after being asked about Talib’s impact. “I think there’s a leadership element – a guy with a ton (of) playoff experience, he’s been in the postseason, he’s an extremely, extremely smart player, and you see that on tape.
