Seahawks GM John Schneider regrets cutting Jahri Evans before 2016 season

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Seattle Seahawks had one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL in 2016 as their young group of blockers struggled to develop the necessary cohesion throughout the season.

They had an established veteran during training camp, but decided to stick with the youthful group after the preseason and cut guard Jahri Evans, who signed with Seattle last August after 10 seasons with the New Orleans Saints.

Evans, meanwhile, came back to New Orleans and had a successful season, starting all 16 games at right guard for one of the top offensive lines in the league.
