Two of the New Orleans Saints' biggest bargains will cost a little extra in 2016.
Offensive tackle Terron Armstead and defensive tackle John Jenkins each earned raises of nearly $1 million based on playing-time incentives. According to the NFL Players Association, their base salaries are now listed as $1.696 million (the projected amount of the lowest restricted free-agent tender).
That’s nothing compared to the bump Armstead will get in his next contract.
Armstead, who has established himself as one of the top young offensive tackles in the NFL, is scheduled to be an unrestricted free agent after next season.
