NEW ORLEANS – Apparently Drew Brees found a comfortable shoe.
The New Orleans Saints quarterback dominated the first half Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars, despite tearing the plantar fascia in his right heel six days earlier.
Brees threw TD passes on each of the Saints’ first two drives and finished the first half 14-of-22 for 251 yards as New Orleans took a 24-6 lead into the break
Brees was listed as questionable for Sunday’s game after only practicing once all week, Friday, on a limited basis. But he insisted that he was going to play, and he backed up his promise in a big way.
