There’s no keeping Willie Snead down.
So far in 2017, the New Orleans Saints’ wide receiver has faced more roadblocks than Canal Street on Cinco de Mayo and has yet to make an appearance in a regular season game through five weeks. That all ends Sunday, however, as Snead says he is finally ready to make his debut.
But he’s got some catching up to do.
“Right now, they’re throwing me back in there slowly,” Snead told ESPN’s Mike Triplett Wednesday. “And I think once this week goes by and I’m able to handle what they’re giving me, I think my role will grow more and more every week.
