METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints offense took another big hit on Thursday, with top receiver Brandin Cooks missing practice because of a concussion.
It's unclear when the concussion occurred, since Cooks practiced fully on Wednesday. But the news certainly puts his status in doubt for Sunday's game at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Losing Cooks would be another big blow for a New Orleans offense that just lost top running back Mark Ingram to a season-ending shoulder injury earlier this week. And this on top of a current four-game losing streak for the 4-8 Saints.
