At no time during the past 10 years have the New Orleans Saints paid substantial money to a free-agent wide receiver outside the team's practice facility.
They've paid wideouts like Marques Colston and Lance Moore nice contracts, but never someone outside the building. So even if a wide receiver like the Bears' Alshon Jeffery was completely on the market this offseason, the Saints are never in the market to shell out major cash for pass catchers.
Now should the Saints add a veteran to the wide receiver room?
