According to Pro Football Talk, the Saints brought in veteran LB Gerald Hodges for a workout on Tuesday.
Hodges, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Vikings back in 2013. Minnesota elected to trade Hodges to the 49ers in return for a sixth-round pick and C Nick Easton back in 2015.
Hodges played out the final year of his four-year, $2.58 million rookie contract and signed a one-year deal with the Bills this offseason. Unfortunately, the Bills cut him loose coming out of the preseason.
In 2016, Hodges appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and recorded 83 tackles, three sacks, two interceptions, a forced fumble, a recovery and two pass defenses.
