The New Orleans Saints defense and special teams units pulled far more than their own weight to hand the Dallas Cowboys their first loss of 2019, improving to a 3-1 record on the year so far. The Saints won 12-10 a year after the Cowboys upset them in a 13-10 stunner.
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater had his own issues in managing the offense, making decisive reads, and placing his passes with accuracy, but the offense didn’t do him any favors with a series of penalties and miscues. The offensive line allowed far too much pressure and multiple good throws were dropped.
