Los Angeles Rams general manager, fresh off of acquiring Brandin Cooks in a trade with the New England Patriots, dished some dirt about their pursuit of the wide receiver. It turns out the Rams were heavy in the hunt for him in 2017 before New Orleans traded him to the Pats for New England’s first-round pick. The Rams apparently offered cornerback Tremaine Johnson, but couldn’t compete with the lure of a first-round pick.
Last year, months before the Rams traded for Sammy Watkins in August, they tried to trade with New Orleans for Cooks, before the Saints sent him to New England.
