The Saints got scrubbed by the Carolina Panthers in Week 17, 33-14. It was ugly. Sean Payton ripped the team after the loss, even though it was his decision to sit Drew Brees, Alvin Kamara and at least one starting offensive lineman who probably could have played. But a lot of unnecessary venom has been directed at Teddy Bridgewater and I’m going to take the opportunity to defend him.
I’m not going to post a lot of examples of the criticism. If you have Twitter or Facebook it won’t take you long to research it yourself.
