The Saints host the Detroit Lions tonight in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. With both teams eliminated from playoff contention, there is little left to play for than pride. Remember though, pride is a very strong motivating factor, and the Saints should come out tonight as a very motivated and prideful team. The Saints, despite their substandard season, have a few benchmarks they need to hit in order to keep the season from getting worse.
Under Drew Brees and Sean Payton, the Saints have never lost more than 9 games in a single season. They will need to win the final three games of this season in order to keep that intact, starting tonight.
