The Saints made a huge splash in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft when they moved up from No. 27 to No. 14 to select Marcus Davenport. Following that pick though, New Orleans has to sit and watch numerous prospects go off the board with no chance to acquire more help. That’s because back in 2017, the Saints used this year’s second-round pick to jump back into the third round.
Their target? Some backup running back from Tennessee named Alvin Kamara.
The Saints looked around in the third round and couldn’t believe he was still available.
