According to a Wednesday morning report by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the New Orleans Saints are releasing veteran cornerback Sterling Moore.

Moore, who was essentially signed as a street free agent in 2016, played in 13 games for the Saints last season. He finished with 56 total tackles, two interceptions, and had 13 pass defenses for Dennis Allen’s unit.

The Saints re-signed Moore in March, and was active in the team’s opening two games against the Vikings and Patriots. However, he suffered a pectoral injury in Week 2’s contest and stayed on the sidelines and was mainly inactive after getting healthy.
