For the Saints and Who Dat Nation, there isn’t much to be happy about with their playoff loss to the Minnesota Vikings. Ending the season is never a happy occasion unless you’re the guys holding the Lombardi Trophy. But for Saints punter Thomas Morstead, there’s a silver lining.
Early in the game last Sunday, Thomas Morstead was hurt pretty badly making a special teams tackle. After the game it was discovered that he had torn cartilage around his ribs. It was obvious during the course of the game that he was playing through considerable pain. Yet he made every punt and was the placeholder for every extra point and field goal attempt.
