For the second time this offseason, the New Orleans Saints are sending one of their top offensive linemen to have surgery that could force him to miss time.
Left tackle Terron Armstead is scheduled to have surgery to repair a torn labrum, according to a source familiar with the injury. After surgery, Armstead is expected to miss between four and six months, according to the source.
NFL Network first reported Armstead's torn labrum and plan for surgery.
Armstead suffered the injury during minicamp Wednesday. He left practice that day and was not on the field Thursday.
