Tight end has been one of the more talked about positions in association with the Saints for a couple of years now. They did finally address the need their the offseason acquisition of veteran free agent Jared Cook, one of free agency’s bigger prizes. Today they took a stab at looking to the future with the selection of Notre Dame’s Alize Mack in the seventh round.
Coming out of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas as a senior, Mack was a four-star recruit who Notre Dame flipped from UCLA. While he had his moments, he was at Notre Dame during a down spell and some time he had to take off due to academic ineligibility hampered Mack’s career with the Fighting Irish.
