Offensive line depth has been an issue for the Saints recently. Then they lost utility man Senio Kelemete in free agency. He played mostly guard, however. In the fourth round of the 2018 NFL Draft, the Saints selected Florida State tackle Rick Leonard. He won’t be playing anything but tackle, I assure you.
Rick Leonard is a massive 6-foot-7 and 311-pounds. Far too tall to play on the interior of an offensive line. Especially in front of a quarterback who’s barely 6-foot. But Leonard had an interesting history at Florida State.
His first two seasons there, he was a defensive end.
