For visiting teams facing the New Orleans Saints, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome is one of the worst stadiums to play in the NFL. For the Saints, it’s a reliable ally when their defense is on the field. The noise is absolutely deafening. On Thursday, Jan. 17, a few days ahead of the NFC Championship Game between the Saints and the Los Angeles Rams, Rams wide receiver Robert Woods made the statement that “The crowd shouldn’t have an impact and it won’t have an impact.”
Here’s a bad idea for you. Just prior to the one game you need to win to get to Super Bowl LIII, the NFC Championship Game, give the entire city of New Orleans, already frothing at the mouth to murderlize your team, a gigantic chunk of bulletin board material calling them out saying they’ll be a non-factor in their beloved team’s biggest game of the season.
