Hours of debate and speculation about a potential blockbuster trade up the board led to a whole lot of nothing, with the New Orleans Saints ultimately hanging back in their slot at No. 28 overall. With the top tier of cornerbacks cleared out before New Orleans ever got on the clock, the Saints used that opportunity to address a different position by selecting Houston defensive end Payton Turner.
