We’ve known all along that the New Orleans Saints will look different in 2021, but seeing is believing. And the updated starting lineup from Pro Football Focus illustrates that really well, with the Saints projected to field two rookie starters and a handful of promoted backups across the formation.
It was to be expected after the Saints lost so many key pieces on each side of the ball: Janoris Jenkins, Kwon Alexander, and Malcom Brown each left behind starting jobs on defense (to say nothing of role players like Trey Hendrickson and Sheldon Rankins), while the offense moved on from Drew Brees, Emmanuel Sanders, and co-starter tight ends Jared Cook and Josh Hill.
