The New Orleans Saints were short-handed in Week 4’s game with the Detroit Lions, having ruled out half a dozen starters with injuries: wide receiver Michael Thomas, guard Andrus Peat, tight end Jared Cook, defensive end Marcus Davenport, plus cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and Janoris Jenkins.
That meant their snaps counts looked a little different from the usual. We’ve broken them down by position groups, taking a look at each unit:

- QB Drew Brees, 67 (96%)
- RB Alvin Kamara, 47 (67%)
- RB Latavius Murray, 29 (41%)
- QB Taysom Hill, 20 (29%)
- FB Michael Burton, 20 (29%)
This was a big game for both of the Saints running backs, who combined for 33 carries (as a team, New Orleans ran 39 times, not including sacks).
