METAIRIE, La. -- The New Orleans Saints signed receiver T.J. Graham, according to his agent Alan Herman, and released punter Brandon Fields, according to a source.
Fields was filling in for injured starter Thomas Morstead over the past two weeks. His release would seem to indicate that Morstead is healing from his strained quadriceps, though the Saints’ first injury report doesn’t come out until Wednesday.
The Saints have also been thin at wide receiver since starter Marques Colston suffered a shoulder injury two weeks ago. They used Joseph Morgan as their fourth receiver last Thursday against the Atlanta Falcons, but he only played four snaps.
